Data Usage Policy
Last updated: May 29, 2026
This policy explains what happens with the website and business data you submit to MACCE GrowthIQ™ for analysis. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What We Crawl
- Publicly accessible pages on the website URL you submit.
- HTML, visible text, headings, links, images metadata, and structured data.
- HTTP response headers and performance signals.
We respect robots.txt directives and reasonable rate limits. We do not bypass authentication, paywalls, or CAPTCHAs.
2. What We Do Not Collect
- Visitor analytics or end-user PII from your website.
- Customer records or backend databases.
- Anything behind a login or behind
noindexmeta tags.
3. How Data Is Processed
Crawled content is run through our heuristic engine to extract signals (e.g., presence of contact info, mobile responsiveness, trust badges) and then synthesized by AI models into a plain-English report. Raw crawl data is stored only as long as needed to generate, debug, and deliver your report.
4. Sub-Processors
- Supabase — database and authentication (US region).
- Firecrawl — managed web crawling.
- Google Gemini / OpenAI — AI synthesis. Content sent to these providers is not used to train their public foundation models.
- Cloudflare — application hosting and edge compute.
5. Anonymized Benchmarks
We may use aggregated, de-identified signals across all audits to compute industry benchmarks (e.g., "average mobile load time for roofers in Texas"). These benchmarks cannot be traced back to any single business.
6. Your Controls
- Delete any audit from your dashboard — raw crawl data is purged within 30 days.
- Request a full account and data export at privacy@macceindustries.com.
- Request that we exclude your domain from future crawls.
7. Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Database access is protected by row-level security so users can only access audits they own.
